RELEASE | Week 4 Stars of the Week

Ottawa, Ontario – The Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League is proud to announce its Week 4 Stars of the Week. The first star goes to Arnprior Packers rookie goaltender Jade Cholette, who has been outstanding to start the season. It’s the third straight week that an Arnprior player has made it into the three stars of the week. Second star belongs to Winchester goaltender Xavier Dusablon, who was terrific in two games over Casselman and Embrun. Third Star went to Sebastien Ouimet, who is in his first season with Casselman after spending time with the Cochrane Crunch in the NOJHL.

First Star: ’06 Jaden Cholette, Arnprior Packers (2 wins, 1.00 GAA / .968 SV%)

Cholette, 16, is off to an impressive start to the season as he is 5-0, with a 2.00 GAA / .932 SV% including his first EOJHL shutout. Last year, he played with the U18 Nepean Raiders and won a championship. On October 19th, he made 25 saves on 27 shots in a 5-2 win over Brockville. The Gloucester, Ontario native got his first career EOJHL shutout on October 23rd against Valley by making all 35 saves in a 6-0 win. Cholette had three shutouts in the U18 AAA level last year.

Second Star: ’02 Xavier Dusablon, Winchester Hawks (2 wins, 3.00 GAA / .943 SV%)

Dusablon, 20, had an amazing week by giving his team two wins during the week. The two wins turns out to be his first wins of the season. Last year, Dusablon was 9-6 in 18 games, recorded a 2.56 GAA / .936 SV%. In his game against Casselman, he made 51 saves in a 5-4 overtime win on October 20th. he would allow only two goals and had 48 saves in a 3-2 OT win. The Gloucester, Ontario native is now 2-1-1 in five games, with a 3.53 GAA / .930 SV%.

Third Star: ’03 Sebastien Ouimet, Casselman Vikings (3G / 2A)

Ouimet, 19, has seven goals, six assists and 13 points in eight games to start the year. He was held pointless against Winchester and ended his two game point streak. The Vankleek Hill, Ontario would have a big game against Alexandria by collecting a hat trick and two apples for five points. Last year, he played 15 games with Cochrane Crunch in the NOJHL and 3 games with the Valleyfield Braves. During his last four games he has six goals and three assists.
